Mr.Horn bought a house next door to me when I lived in Huntington and he rented it out to Marshall students this was back in the late 70s.
He was one of the kindest souls I've ever met. He had a laugh that was contagious. Later he gave me an epidural when I had my son.
He would sing while he did this.Heaven has another angel. And we have lost one dance down that street of gold Joe. My deepest condolences to you all.

I worked with Joe for over 20 years in the operating room at CHH. He was a great person and an excellent anesthetist. We always had a good time doing cases together. I´m so sorry for your loss...he will be greatly missed.

One memory of Joe that sticks out in my mind is when I was just starting the second grade and I was going to Geneva Kent elementary. I was supposed to wait for Francie and Linda Childers to show me the way home. Well I thought I knew the way home and that I did not need them to "show me the way" so I proceeded to walk, and walk and walk. I ended up going all the way out Norway Avenue to Avondale and then there was a little hillside by the traffic light and I just sat down on the side of Hill and start crying. This was a time away before cell phones or anything like that. Anyway, just what I had given up hope here comes Joe Horn in my grandmother, and they had l found me. It was just like a made for TV movie. The timing couldn´t have been any more perfect. Joe was a really great guy. He also came from across the street when he lived on Woodward Terrace and got my temperature done when I had a very high fever. He was a great guy and will be missed. How are you doing?
