Lou Frances Webb

LOU FRANCES WEBB, 90, went home to be with the Lord Friday, December 8, 2023, at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at Morris Funeral Home Chapel by Pastors Fred Ferguson and Rick Perdue. Burial will follow in Smith Cemetery, Genoa, W.Va. She was born April 25, 1933, in Sidney, W.Va., a daughter of the late Emory Thompson and Sadie Workman Thompson. Lou was a homemaker and member of the Wayne Baptist Church and a proud member of the "lunch bunch." She also taught the pre-school children at Twelvepole Valley Baptist Church for many years. Nothing was more important to her than serving Jesus Christ and caring for her family. Her grandchildren adored her and thought there was no one like their "Mommaw Lou." Her husband of fifty-three years, Garland T. Webb, also preceded her in death, along with three brothers, Bobbie L. Thompson, Jay B. Thompson and Glen Thompson. Survivors include her son, Gregory Webb and wife Karen of Wayne, W.Va.; three daughters, Rhonda Arthur and husband Ron of Pittsboro, Ind., Sheryl Griffin and husband Robert of Salisbury, N.C., Lisa Dean and husband John of Cullman, Ala.; her beloved sister, Nell R. Napier of Rittman, Ohio; grandchildren Jennifer Baker (Paul Jr.), Scott Arthur (Myleah), Allison Hatfield (Josh), Derek Dean (Koral), Dani Locker (Alex); great-grandchildren Tyler, Marcus, Marley, Kenzie, Caycee, Lexi, Maison, Wake, Cash; and a great- great-grandson, Mateo; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from noon until service time at Morris Funeral Home, Wayne, W.Va.
