Mary Lou Wilson

MARY LOU WILSON, 98, of Huntington, WV, passed away on Friday, October 24, 2025, at The Village at Riverview in Barboursville.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 31, 2025, at Beard Mortuary, with Pastor Steve Hinkle officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 1 p.m. at the mortuary.
She was born July 13, 1927, in Huntington, the daughter of the late Raymond and Lillian Newcomb Eversole. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Chasey Wilson; son, Ray Wilson; sister, Ruth Jenkins; and cousin, Anne Lipton.
Mary Lou was Methodist by faith and attended the former Highlawn United Methodist Church and Beverly Hills Methodist Church. She also enjoyed fellowship with Steve Hinkle from Susannah Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by her loving family: daughters Susan (Robert) Shields of Huntington and Kathy (Bruce) Friend of Harrodsburg, KY; grandchildren Robert "Rob" Shields, Jr. of Pittsburgh, PA; Sean (Katie) Wilson of Thurmont, MD; Chris Wilson of Renton, WA; Allan (Kylee) Friend of Okinawa, Japan; and Ashley Friend of Richmond, KY; as well as a cousin, Ginger Fitzpatrick of Indianapolis, IN.
The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the staff at The Village at Riverview for their excellent care and friendship shown to Mary Lou over the years.
