Maxine Eplion Obituary
MAXINE "NANI" EPLION, 99, of Huntington, WV passed away Sunday November 23, 2025 at Cabell Healthcare Center, Culloden, WV. Funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, November 28, 2025 at Chapman's Mortuary Huntington with Pastor Brian Cardwell officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville.
Maxine was born December 18, 1925 in Logan County, WV a daughter of the late James & Narie Maynard Sellards. She was also preceded in death by her husband; Clifford Eplion, two brothers, one sister and two sons; James Eplion of South Point, OH, Robert Eplion of Proctorville, OH and a special granddaughter; Deanna Gilpin of Huntington.
Survivors include two sons; Darrell (June) Eplion of Huntington and Rick (Rebecca) Eplion of Proctorville, OH and one daughter; Brenda (Don) Eplion of Proctorville, multiple grand, great and great- great-grandchildren.
Maxine was a beautiful, kind woman that loved and was loved by all who knew her. Her family was her life and she devoted herself for 99 plus years to making sure they were loved and cared for. Her presence will be missed by each and every person she came into contact with. The world was a better place with her in it but we will rejoice in knowing she is in God's arms and reunited with loved ones waiting for her.
The family would like to mention special caregivers/friends: Kathy Eplion and Sharon Dennison for their loving care. Also, a special thank you to Rebecca Kayes for her endless devotion and care.
Visitation will be from Noon until 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
