Pauline Lynette Black

PAULINE LYNETTE BLACK, 74, of Huntington, WV, died Monday March 9, 2026, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House.
Funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at Chapman's Mortuary Huntington with Pastor Jerry Matt officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Lynette was born February 11, 1952, in Huntington WV, a daughter of the late Bruce D. & Wilma L Daniels Ball. She was a medical coder in the Neuroscience Department of Marshall Health. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Darrell Gene Black, one brother, Richard Dwayne Ball and his son Jacob, two stepdaughters, Kristie D. Ward and Mitzie C. Black.
Survivors include her sister, Teresa "Terry" (Ron) Baumgardner of Huntington, two brothers, Bruce "Donnie" (Debbie) Ball of Barboursville, Charles "Greg" Ball & Christine Rowe of Chesapeake, OH, niece, Aliese Baumgardner (David) Lucas and their children, Chesney & Jhett Lucas and nephews, Bryan Ball & Jason (Mandy) Ball and their son Charlie Ball and very close friends Gary and Gina Holland.
She is also survived by stepdaughter P. Ashley Black (Tevin); grandchildren, Kirissa, Keshia, Zachary, Tyler, Hannah, Zavier and Lilly; 7 great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law, D. Lee (Joyce) Black, Rex (Karen) Black and sister-in-law Janice F. Tomblin and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express our deepest gratitude to her very special friend and co-worker, Amber Teasley, for all the times she took Lynette to doctor appointments, the ER, grocery store, or anywhere else she needed to go. And to her wonderful neighbors and friends a heartfelt thank you for the caring support you have given during the past several years.
Visitation will be from Noon until 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
