PHYLLIS LEE POYNTER

1929 - 2018

PHYLLIS LEE POYNTER, 89, of Chesapeake, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on April 4, 2018. She was born on March 21, 1929, a daughter of the late Derward and Bethel Rebecca Wallace Suiter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Myron Eugene Poynter, and sister, Bonnie Moore. Phyllis retired as an Executive from American Car and Foundry after 44 years of service. She was also a graduate of Chesapeake High School. She is survived by her daughter, Terri Kay Kunze of Chesapeake, OHIO; two brothers, Phil Suiter of Saint Albans, W.Va., William (Phyllis) Suiter of Chesapeake, Ohio; two grandchildren, Michael Tyler Kunze, Nathaniel Taylor Kunze; great-grandchildren, Jenna Marie Kunze, Elizabeth Kunze, Taylor Grace Kunze; and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to give a special thanks to Heartland Hospice of Lucasville, Ohio, and Rebecca Adkins and Cindy Nichols of Chesapeake, Ohio, for the special care they provided Phyllis and her family. Funeral services will be Monday, April 9, 2018, at 1 p.m. at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, Ohio, with Dr. Phil Suiter officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point, Ohio.
