RICHARD CLAGG Obituary
RICHARD LEWIS CLAGG, 82, of Huntington, husband of Edna Holley Clagg, died August 8, 2017, at home. Funeral services will be noon Monday, August 14, 2017, at Chapman's Mortuary, with Pastor Ken Toler officiating. Burial will be in Lafayette Meadows Cemetery, Mason County, W.Va., with military graveside rites conducted by Veterans Honor Guard Post 16, Huntington, W.Va. He was born February 13, 1935, in Mason County, West Virginia, a son of the late Samuel Lewis and Sarah Marie Chapman Clagg. Two sisters, Alma Jacobs and infant Catherine Clagg, also preceded him in death. He was a US Army veteran and retired from Green Acres Center as the maintenance director. Survivors in addition to his wife include one daughter and son-in-law, Debora and Ken Lam of Huntington; one granddaughter and her husband, Miranda and Shelby Tucci of Starkville, Miss.; and two great-grandchildren, Tristan and Kate Tucci. Sorry to hear about Richard passing away. My thoughts and prayers are with the Clagg's family. I don't know if Edna remembers my parents. My parents were Junior and Faye Chapman.

I will always remember you both. I so trusted Dick and you to take compassionate care of our beloved clients at Green Acres. It was a privilege to know and care about both of you. I know he is reaping his Heavenly glories, and you will rejoice when you are reunited!

So sorry to hear if Mr. Clagg's passing. He was a sweet man and will be missed. Prayers for Edna and the rest of his family. Mr. Clagg and Edna gave us SMMC employees a dry place to relax on our breaks and always had a good story or laugh to share.
