RICHARD CLAY Obituary





RICHARD LEE CLAY, 67, of Ashland, Ky., went home to be with the Lord on August 30, 2017. He was born October 27, 1949, in Huntington, a son of the late Richard Ray and Hazel Alice Bledsoe Clay. He was a former member of the Milton Volunteer Fire Department. He was preceded in death by his sister, Marsha Burdette, and one grandson, Brian Smith. He is survived by two daughters, Tammy Fielder of Huntington and Amber Clay-Burns of Ashland, Ky.; one son, Richard Scott Clay of Milton; one sister, Ann Ford of Chesapeake, Ohio; and one brother-in-law, Gene Burdette of Barboursville; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Memorial service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Monday, September 4, 2017, at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Pastor Keith Watters. Visitation will be Monday from 6-7 p.m. at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/wallace.
