ROBERT SUDMAN Obituary





ROBERT (BOB) JAMES SUDMAN was born on May 1, 1924, in Boyne Falls, Michigan, to Chester G. and Leota Viola Getty Sudman. He served his country during WWII as a sergeant in the U.S. Army in the 103th Infantry Company K. in Europe. He was awarded two Bronze Stars and a Purple Heart. Robert was a member of the Katy, Texas, VFW as well as the VFW in Ironton, Ohio, where he was also a lifetime member of the Honor Guard, Quarter Master and Trustee. He retired from Cyclops Steel where he worked as the Director of IT. Robert (Bob) Sudman passed away on Friday, May 1, 2015, in Katy, Texas, on his 91st birthday. He is survived by his children, Kay Brown and her husband Dale, Scott Sudman and his wife Velma, and Diane Ward; Niece Katy Vanderpool; four grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Ann Malone Sudman. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Ohio. Funeral services are under the direction of Schmidt Funeral Home.
