Roger Kelsie Colegrove

ROGER KELSIE COLEGROVE, 80, of Aid, Ohio passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2025, with family at his side. He was born July 28, 1945 in Branchland, West Virginia, a son of the late Lacy and Sylvia Mullins Colegrove.
Roger spent his life working for his country, his family, and the Lord with pride. He graduated from Ceredo-Kenova High School and joined the U.S. Air Force as a clerk and typist, serving in Germany and England and promoting to Staff Sergeant. He joined the Post Office and retired twenty years later as Maintenance Manager of the Huntington, West Virginia facility. His free time and energy over the years were spent volunteering for the Aid Fire Department (as a founding member), Boy Scout Troop 129, farming, raising cattle, gardening, and woodworking. Roger earned a degree from Landmark Baptist Bible College in 2009 and served the Lord in mission trips to Mexico and Japan, at Junior Furnace Missionary Baptist Church, Royersville, and finally as pastor of Palestine Missionary Baptist Church.
Roger is survived by his wife of 54 years Barbara Ann Darling Colegrove, three sons, and a daughter: Stephen and Jenny Colegrove of Austin, Texas, Paul Colegrove of South Point, Rebekah Colegrove of Aid, Ohio, and Christopher and Chrissy Colegrove of Shickshinny, Pennsylvania. Surviving grandchildren are Sabrina Cox, Natalie, Sarah, Emily, Maggie, Grace, Noah, and Eliana Colegrove.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, August 4, 2025 at Phillips Funeral Home in Ironton. Burial will follow in Aid Cemetery. Friends may visit from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, August 4, 2025 at Phillips Funeral Home, prior to the service.
