Ronald Blevins Obituary
RONALD SHERMAN BLEVINS went to be with his heavenly father and family on February 10, 2025. Ronald was born on April 9, 1942, in Huntington WV, a son of the late William Sherman Blevins Jr., and Bernice Bryant Bostic Blevins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two brothers: Larry Keith Blevins (Sue); Roy Blevins (Juanita and daughter Junita Gail) and three sisters Diane Siebert (Reggie); Delorce Byrd and baby sister Vera Blevins. In addition to his wife Eileen Blevins of 58 years, he is also survived by three children; Carol Hooser (Ben) of Milton, WV; Maryalice Short (Jeoffrey) of Barboursville, WV and William Blevins (Jessica) of Huntington, WV. Five grandchildren: Becky Gilkerson (Travis) of Hurricane, WV; Ronald Hooser (Tiffany) of Culloden, WV, Filmore Aldridge of Ashland KY; Raven Clay (Codey) of Huntington, WV, TJ Short (Apple Grove, WV) and eight great grandchildren: Denver Hooser of Milton, WV, Jesca and Braxton Vickers of Culloden, WV; JR Hooser of Culloden, WV; Maddie Gilkerson of Hurricane, WV; Riley and Elijah Clay of Huntington, WV and Atlas Short of Apple Grove, WV and one very special person who was just like his daughter Donna Short of Huntington, WV.
Ronald retired from S.S. Logan Packing Company after over 36 years of work. In his retirement he spent his time enjoying his family and doing the things he enjoyed.
Tracy Morris will be presiding over the graveside services, the service will be held at White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Barboursville, WV on Friday February 14th, 2025, at 2 p.m. Chapman's Mortuary Huntington, is assisting the family.
