Ronald Tickle Obituary
RONALD PAUL TICKLE, Ronald Paul Tickle, 84, passed away on March 4, 2024, in Huntington, WV.
Ron was a beloved husband and, brother, uncle, and friend. Born on December 14, 1939 in Huntington.
Ron lead a fulfilling life dedicated to his family, career and church. Ron left Huntington after attending Marshall University in 1960 and went to California. Ron was a proud veteran, having served in the United States Navy from 1962-1965. His military service instilled in him values of dedication, discipline and service to others. After his time in the Navy, he pursued a career as a lighting technician for Electrical Union in Van Nuys, California from 1963-2002. He worked on movie sets. He was an active member of the Studio Electrical Union 728, serving on the Executive Board as a treasurer from 1975-1985. Later he earned the highest medal of honor, The Gold Card. He was honored for his service, in recognition of his dedication and hard work. In addition to his military and professional accomplishments, Ron was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints. He moved back to Huntington, WV in 2017.
Ron was preceded in death by his father, Walter S Rogers and mother, Nellie May Wells Tickle Rogers His beloved wife of 40 years Mary Ann Siemers Tickle who passed away in 2009.
He is survived by his brother James F. Tickle, Shelby Tickle, Nieces; Patricia Tickle Runyon, husband Clyde, Tammy Tickle Komenda, husband Jeff. Nephews; John Rodriquez, wife Julie, Tony Rodriquez, wife Michelle. Great Nieces; Ashley Bryan, Simmone Komenda (TGC) and Natalie Rodriquez. Great Nephews; Tyler Knight, Trevor Komenda, wife Megan, John Rodriguez, Jr and Tony Rodriquez, Jr. who will cherish his memory forever.
Graveside services will be held Friday, 11 a.m., March 8, 2024 at Woodmere Memorial Park by Elder Kim Wolfe. Interment will follow.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to Hospice of Huntington.
