Ruth Gail Isaacs

RUTH GAIL ISAACS, 72, of Lavalette, WV, passed away Monday, November 10, 2025, in Cabell Huntington Hospital. A memorial service will be held at Johnson Memorial United Methodist Church, Huntington, on December 6 at Noon with visitation starting at 11 a.m.
Ruth was born October 29, 1953, in Williamson, WV, daughter of the late Andrew and Hattie (Fluty) Kosto. She graduated from Williamson HS in 1971. After working for many years as an office worker in NC and then locally, she retired. Ruth enjoyed canning, cooking, and baking, often giving away more than she kept. She also enjoyed flower gardening and birdwatching, as well as crafting. Most of all, Ruth loved spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her son Carl "Andy" Pinson. Survivors include two brothers, William "Bill" (Dana) Kosto; David "Eddie" (Jenny) Fluty; grandchildren, Sierra Pinson Bell, Robert Pinson and Dallas Pinson; two great granddaughters; nephews, Chris Kosto and David Fluty; niece, Stephanie Kosto Vandall (Cain and Madison); friends, Jean Marie Long, Rod Webb, and a host of many other friends. She also had two special cats, Little Man and Miss Priss.
Ruth was passionate about supporting the outreach ministry at church, Pack for the Future, which sends backpacks of food to a local elementary school to help feed needy children during the weekends.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Johnson Memorial UMC Backpack Ministry, 513 10th Ave., Huntington, WV 25701. Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, is assisting the family.
