SANDRA KAY RICE NICHOLAS BARTLE, 67, of Flatwoods, Ky., formerly of Huntington, wife of Charles E. Bartle, died Thursday, May 3, 2018, in Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital, Ashland, Ky. She was born April 17, 1951, in Huntington, a daughter of the late Don Arliss Rice Sr. and Margie Louise Wroten Rice Lykins. She had a sister, Patricia Boyd, also precede her in death. She was a retired Registered Nurse Certified. Sandra loved to dance, shop and play bingo. In addition to her husband, survivors include a daughter, Amy Nicholas and fiance Greg Lawhon of Barboursville; a son and daughter-in-law, Sherman and Melissa Nicholas of Huntington; two stepchildren, Charles E. Bartle Jr. and wife Diane Bartle of Lexington, Ky., and Vicki K. Manson and husband Voral Manson of Greenup, Ky.; three sisters, Janet Rice of Palatka, Fla., Teresa Taylor of Proctorville, Ohio, and Debbie Lykins of Michigan; a brother and sister-in-law, Don Arliss Rice Jr. and Yolanda Rice of Scottown, Ohio; two half-brothers, Roland Lykins Jr. of Ravenswood, W.Va., and Clint Lykins of Huntington; seven grandchildren, including three special grandchildren, Kaitlyn Nicholas, Brookelyn Saunders and Sarah Saunders; and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, May 7, 2018, at Chapman's Mortuary with Pastor Charles E. Bartle Jr. officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barbourville.
