Sandra Sue Foster

1944 - 2024

SANDRA SUE FOSTER, 79, of Chesapeake, Ohio passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at Wyngate Senior Living Community. She was born on November 28, 1944, to her late parents; Frank Herrell and Opal (Robinson) Herrell at their home in Waterloo, Ohio.
She was the President of the first graduating class of Symmes Valley High School in 1962. Sandra worked as a School Board Treasurer for various School Boards in Lawrence and Gallia Counties. She volunteered at the Cabell Huntington Hospital gift shop for many years during her retirement. Sandra was a survivor of breast cancer and took pride in helping others through their cancer journeys.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings: Ken (Char) Herrell, Ann (Bill) Coburn, George (Louise) Herrell, Glenn Herrell, and Ruth Spears.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children: Melissa Foster Bird of Huntington, Zachary (Renae) Foster of Barboursville; her grandchildren: Luke and Winnie Bird, and Raegan and Reed Foster; her siblings: Bonnie (Rick) Leszkowicz of Findlay, Ohio, Chuck (Linda) Herrell of Chilhowie, Virginia, and Becky (Rick) Cremeens of Kitts Hill, Ohio.
Funeral service will be at noon Thursday, August 15, 2024, at Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home, 518 S. 6th Street, Ironton, Ohio, with Pastor Chuck Herrell officiating. Burial will follow in Aid Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
