SANDRA "SANDY" MARIE PENNINGTON SITES, 67, of Huntington, WV, transitioned from this life to eternal life with her Heavenly Father on Friday, April 18, 2025 at SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth, OH. Sandy was born November 17, 1957, in Huntington, WV, to the late Omar "Max" Pennington and Viola "Ruth" Pennington. She is preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Amber Counts Hanners, and her sister Katherine Steele.
She is survived by her daughter Sarah Pennington Johnson of Huntington; grandchildren Caleb Johnson and Jacob Neal of Huntington and Bryson Pratt, Logan Hanners, and Grayson Hanners of Ashland, KY; sisters Mary Arthur of Huntington, and Sue Steele of Chapmanville; and brothers Donald Pennington and Omar Pennington of Huntington.

Sandy lived her whole life in service to others. She cared for her family and anyone in need, sacrificing her own personal life and any Earthly gain. She truly was the epitome of selflessness and was an angel to anyone in need, never thinking of herself. Her absence will be sorely felt by all who knew her. Her family takes comfort in knowing she is in the Kingdom of God and all its treasures, reunited with her parents and her daughter whom she missed every day.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/wallace
