SHERI JOHNSON Obituary
SHERI LYNN JOHNSON, 51, of Huntington, W.Va., passed away on Monday, August 27, 2018, in Cabell Huntington Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Services will be held on Sunday at 2 p.m. at Fifth Avenue Baptist Church Chapel with Rev. Eric Porterfield officiating. The family will receive friends after 1 p.m. in Smith Hall at the church. She was born November 2, 1966, in Huntington, the daughter of Nancy Porter Tomlin of Huntington and the late Charles L. Anderson. She is survived by two children, Jessica Johnson of Proctorville, Ohio, and Josh Johnson of Huntington; two granddaughters, whom she adored, Katelyn "Katie Mae" Johnson and Laycee Johnson; a sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Kerry Dillard of Huntington; a sister-in-law, Jeanette Johnson of Proctorville, Ohio; several nieces and nephews; and a host of special cousins. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Katelyn and Laycee Education Fund, c/o Susan Dillard, P O. Box 7757, Huntington, WV 25778. The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Cabell Huntington Hospital for their excellent care of Sheri. Online condolences may be made at www.beardmortuary.com.

Nancy and Susan, I was so sorry to hear of Sheri's passing. I remember Sheri as a young girl in our neighborhood, and she would often visit to talk with me. God be with the family. Love, Gaye Day
