SHIRLEY MEADOWS Obituary
SHIRLEY WALKER MEADOWS, 81, of Huntington, passed away Monday, January 4, 2016 at St. Mary's Medical Center, Huntington. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Reger Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Docks Creek Cemetery, Kenova, W.Va. She was born September 24, 1934 in Huntington, a daughter of the late Theodore and Katherine Nunley Walker. She was a homemaker, Baptist by faith and liked to take care of kids. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her ex husband Henry Meadows; son Carl Meadows; brother Theodore Walker; sister Delores Walker; sister and brothers-in-law, Burma and Russell Weaver and Judith and Scott Aliff; and her cat Nebi. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law Lisa and Jack Tiller of Huntington; grandchildren Hank Starkey, Jackie Starkey, Ainslee Adkins and Crystal Starkey; great-grandchildren Chelsea, Jackson, Cassidy Starkey, Corey Csaki, Kaleb, Seth and Savannah Tiller and Jared Stull; great-great-grandson due in March and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 1 p.m. until service time Friday at the Reger Funeral Home. Condolences may be made to the family at www.regerfh.com.

I am so sorry to hear but happy for Shirley (mawmaw) to be at rest. I was just thinking of her a few days ago when I found a beanie baby elephant that I had intended to give her long ago. I'm sure she already had one :) I always admired her elephants and thought of her when I saw one. She loved that I loved her elephants and it gave her a chance to talk about them. xoxo Shirley. I'm sorry it's been so long since I've been around. Wish I had stopped by and seen ya. I'm sure Neb was waiting to great her :)
