STANLEY WILSON Obituary

STANLEY RAY WILSON, 70, of Shoals, W.Va., went home to be with the Lord surrounded by his family on Sunday, February 9, 2014, at his residence. He was born December 18, 1943, in Kenova, W.Va., to Henry and Lora Mae Wilson, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Barbara Mills Wilson; a daughter Staci Rae Griffith; two sons, Matthew John (Brittany) Wilson and Mark Allen (Leanne) Wilson, all of Huntington, W.Va., and a biological son James (Leyla) Carlivanos of Virginia Beach, Va. He will be greatly missed by his five grandchildren, Logan Shane Griffith, Lacy MarLeah, KimberLynn Hope, Titus Stone and Hattie RaeAnn Wilson. He is also survived by three brothers, Harry David (Janet) Wilson of Kenova, W.Va., Donald Lee (Dona) Wilson of South Point, Ohio and H. Michael (Sandy) Wilson of Cary, N.C.; a special brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Rob and Brenda Crum of Shoals; one nephew, Jamie Crum; two nieces, Melissa Romans and Suella Crum and great-niece and nephew Meagan Abbott and Brandon Romans. He was a 1962 graduate of Ceredo-Kenova High School and a 39-year employee of Gibson Brothers Furniture in Ashland, Ky., and 10 years at the Wayne WalMart. He was a member of Buffalo Valley Missionary Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 12, 2014, at Buffalo Valley Missionary Baptist Church by Pastors Tim Jayne, Kim Stone and Stephen C. Day. Burial will follow at Dock's Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, February 11, 2014, at the church and one hour before the funeral service. Flowers will be appreciated or donations may be made to Hospice of Huntington, P.O. Box 464, Huntington, WV 25709. Online condolences may be expressed at www.rollinsfh.com. Rollins Funeral Home in Kenova is assisting the family.

so sorry to hear this about stanley....i had the pleasure of working with stanley at trautweins in wayne when tab mathis opened it back up.....a super nice guy, well mannered and very polite and the last time i saw him was when he was a door greeter at wayne walmart.....we have lost a friend down here but heaven has gained an angel......toney and dixie pack, wayne,wva.
