Susan Ranson Obituary

SUSAN CAROLE ARCHER RANSON, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, passed away on October 13th, 2023. She was born on May 12th, 1945, to Lawrence H. Archer and Sylvia Austin Archer.
Susan served alongside her husband, Edward Eugene Ranson, as a supportive pastor's wife at many churches and Christian schools in Kentucky and south Georgia for over 20 years until his death. Continuing in her love for education and service, she worked for Wiregrass Georgia Technical College's Career Services Office for 20 years until her retirement.
David Archer, brother, Matthew Ranson, nephew, and niece Kristie Belville Warner, who held a special place in her heart, went to be with our Lord before her and even though she missed them dearly she is once again united with them in grace.
Susan is survived by her daughter, Andrea Ranson Bassett, son-in-law, Bruce, granddaughters Suzanna and Alena, her sister Sandy Archer Belville and her husband Tommy. Also, she is survived by her brother Michael Archer, brother-in-law Phillip Ranson and his wife Judy. Left to cherish her memory are her nieces Cindy Ranson Grimes (Stephen) and Cheryl (Terry) Gergely, and nephews T.J. (Bekki) Belville, Steven (Teresa) Boyes, and Michael (Abby) Boyes.
Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at the Ridgelawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville, is assisting the family.
