Terry Dilcher Obituary

TERRY BRENT DILCHER, 77, of Barboursville, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2026, surrounded by his family.
Born October 9, 1948, in Gallipolis, Ohio, Terry spent his early years in the Point Pleasant area before his family moved to Moon Township, Pennsylvania, where he completed high school.
Terry proudly served in the United States Navy from October 15, 1968, to August 2, 1972, including deployment to Vietnam during the Vietnam War. His military service was a lifelong source of pride.
In 2001, Terry sustained a traumatic brain injury following a horse-riding accident. Through determination and resilience, he worked to overcome lasting deficits and continued forward with strength and perseverance.
He was a devoted Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoyed cheering on his team. Terry will be remembered for his resilience, independence, and the steady way he faced life's challenges.
In addition to his parents, Carl Dilcher and Hattie Klinebriel Dilcher, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Danny Dilcher, Carla McCana (Lou), and Laurin Wetherill (Tom). He is survived by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Marylin Williams, with whom Terry lived and who lovingly served as his primary caregiver during the last year of his life through the VA Medical Foster Home Program.
