Walter Johnson Obituary
WALTER ISHMEL JOHNSON, of West Hamlin, WV, born: August 25, 1948, passed away March 3, 2025, at the age of Seventy Six years, Six months and Six days. He was the son of the late Chapman Lee Johnson and Ermel Mae Scites Johnson and is also preceded in death by three brothers; Herbert Johnston, Hobert Johnson and Charles Johnson.
He is survived by his wife; Gwen Meade Johnson of West Hamlin, WV, one son; Adam Johnson (Amanda Parsons) of West Hamlin, WV, one brother; Donald (Sandy) Johnson of Branchland, WV, two sisters; Louise Parsons of Glenwood, WV, Donna Jean (Bob) Cecil of Proctorville, OH, and mother-in-law; Helen Meade of Harts, WV.
Funeral service will be Noon, Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Koontz Funeral Home, Hamlin, WV, with Elder Jonah Adkins officiating. Interment will follow at Lincoln Memorial Park, Hamlin, WV. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to Noon, Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Koontz Funeral Home, Hamlin, WV.
