ASSUMPTION - Bonnie M. Ohl, 69, of Assumption died 12:50 p.m. Friday (July 23, 2004) in her home. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Lockart-Green Funeral Home, Shelbyville, with visitation 5 to 8 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Assumption. Memorials: donor's choice. Mrs. Ohl was born Oct. 28, 1934, in Fancher, the daughter of Howard Everett and Thelma Florence Edwards Smith. She was a member of Locust Grove Church near Assumption and Moose Lodge in Casey. She was a homemaker and loved to garden and grow flowers. She married Jessie Ohl on Sept. 27, 1955, in Peoria. He preceded her in death May 31, 1983. Surviving are her sons, Jerry Ohl and wife Donna and Randy Ohl, all of Assumption; daughters, Loretta Rathe of Casey; Glenda Spinner and husband Tony of Assumption; stepson, Robert Ohl and wife Arlene of Assumption; brother, Charles Smith of Assumption; sisters, Virginia Knapp and husband Dale of Moweaqua; Mickey Sandiford and husband Danny of Cowden; special nieces, Jackie Mahone of Moweaqua; Janet Gailbraith of Lake Station, Ind.; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother, Howard; sisters, Shirley and Beverly; and special friend, Dale Owen.
