Christopher Woodrow Obituary
September 1, 1966 - March 13, 2025
Dr. Christopher John Woodrow, 58 of Forsyth, IL passed away on March 13, 2025, in Jacksonville, FL. Chris was born September 1, 1966 in Council Bluffs, IA, the son of Gordon Woodrow and Ann (Woodrow) Thrane.
Chris graduated from Glenwood High School in Glenwood, IA in 1984, then went on to earn his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 1989 from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA. It was there that he met and began dating Sheila Stone. They were united in marriage on May 26, 1990, in Glenwood, IA.
Chris opened the Mt. Zion Chiropractic Center in Mt. Zion, IL in February 1990 and remained there until his retirement in October 2024. Chris especially loved biking, traveling and scuba diving around the world. A highlight of Chris's adventures was when he traveled to Egypt to scuba dive in the Red Sea.
He loved to laugh and had a quick wit. He was known for his love and knowledge of 80s classic rock and could not be beat in 80's rock trivia.
Cherishing his memory are his wife, Sheila; son, Aaron and fiancé, Lindsey St. Peters of Ft Dodge, IA; parents, Gordon Woodrow; and wife, Lori of Jacksonville, FL; Ann Thrane and husband Jim of Glenwood, IA; brother John (Shari) Woodrow of Murfreesboro, TN; half-sisters Lynette (Barbi) Rinks of Jacksonville, FL and Lisa (Andy) Bracht of Omaha, NE; half-brother Nick Woodrow of Chicago, IL.; extended relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 7th, from 3:00-7:00 PM at Passion Community Church, Decatur, IL.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 8th at 10:00 AM, also at Passion Community Church.

I was his secretary when he was president of the local chapter of AMBUCS. I have never met a nicer gentleman than Chris. I will always remember him.

Dr Chris was a true healer and a wonderful, honest human. I was his patient for many years before moving out of state. A life cut short and my sympathies to his family. May your memories ease the pain. A special memory for me was when he shared the joy of finding out he would be a father. He was my doctor and more importantly, my friend. Sue Johnson
