DECATUR - Daniel E. Covey, 33, of Decatur, died Tuesday, October 9, 2007, at Loyola University Hospital, Maywood, IL. Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, October 13, 2007, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, with visitation 6-8 P.M. Friday, October 12, at the funeral home. The family requests casual attire. Burial will be in Boiling Springs Cemetery, Decatur. Memorials may be made to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or Gift of Hope. Daniel was born October 11, 1973, in Decatur, the son of George and Connie (Moreland) Covey. He worked at Decatur Memorial Hospital as a medical equipment technician. Daniel enjoyed golf, pool and darts, and he was an avid Cardinal fan. He really adored his two nephews, Braden and Clayton. Daniel is survived by his mother and step-father, Connie and Bill Baker of Decatur; brothers, Brian Covey of Decatur and Jeremy Covey and wife Rachael of Cameron, MO; aunt, Bonnie Grunden and companion Mike Ater of Decatur; companion, Jill Covey of Decatur; and several cousins.
