Debbie was a graduate of Savanna, IL, high school. She co-owned G&W Harley-Davidson in Galesburg, IL, and later Coziahr Harley-Davidson in Forsyth, IL, with her husband. She played an active role in bringing the 911 Memorial to Decatur, as well as giving generously to many local community organizations and projects. She was instrumental in the success of the Blessing of the Bikes at Coziahr Harley-Davidson, as well as bringing Bike Nights to the community. She loved to be involved in her children's lives and enjoyed reading. She was passionate about her two grandchildren and thoroughly enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and the world with her husband.
To know Debbie was to know kindness, strength, wisdom, and humor. She made those who knew her feel like family, as if they were her own. She will be loved and missed by many people.
Surviving is her husband, Tim, of Decatur, IL; son, Michael of Decatur, IL; daughter, Michele and her partner Travis Orr, of Decatur, IL; brother, David Bauer of Brooklyn Park, MN; sister, Diane Pape and her husband Dan of Vancouver, WA; her grandchildren, Jeremiah Blue and Adeline Leigh; and various nieces and nephews, all of whom she adored.
Debbie was preceded in death by her sister, Lavonne; her special dog, Petie; and her parents.
"Show love, kindness, empathy, compassion, strictness when needed, laughter, responsibility, respect, have a good and honest heart, and in regard to your character, do what's right, not what's popular." - Debra Coziahr
