Elgene "Jean" Minnie Morrison, 102, passed away on November 20, 2024 in Decatur, Ill.
Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home in Decatur, Ill. Funeral Service will be 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home.
Jean was born December 5, 1921, in Mattoon, Ill. The daughter of Cecil and Wilmeth (Roberts) Scott. She married Jack Donald Morrison on April 26, 1942, in St. Charles, Mo.
She loved spending time with her family and spent her life creating a happy and loving home for them.
Jean is survived by her daughters, Donna Bruner and Sue Kelly; her four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and her sister, Barbara Specht.
Jean is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack; four brothers; and two sons-in-law.

I remember my mother, Marjorie Fellows Gaines, previously of Mattoon and later of Allendale, IL, speaking fondly of Eljean, her sister Barbara, and their brothers. They were cousins of my mother. Eljean had a wonderfully long life. I extend my condolences to her family.

I hope I have some of Elgene´s genes and will be able to live such a long life as she did. Elgene and my mother Hazel Catherine Fellows Jones of Latham, Illinois were cousins.
