Everett Dean Kraft

DECATUR - Everett Dean Kraft, 80, of Decatur, passed away Monday, December 17, 2007 at St. Mary's Hospital. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M., Thursday, December 20, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, December 19, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery, Decatur, with military rites conducted by Macon County Honor Guard. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or to National Parkinson's Foundation. Everett was born on March 13, 1927, the son of Herbert and Ella Mae (Reynolds) Kraft. He married Charlotte Whitrock on December 31, 1948, in Decatur.  Everett was the owner and operator of Kraft Trucking for many years. He was a Navy Veteran and a member of the American Legion Post, and also a member of the Shriners. Everett enjoyed traveling, boating, and especially enjoyed his work. Surviving are his wife of 59 years Charlotte; children Carla Sue (Dennis) Garceau, Brenda Kay Combs, Connie L. Kraft, Pamela J. Kraft, Richard Dean Kraft, Penny Jo Kraft, and James "Jimmy" Kraft, all of Decatur.  Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, brothers Herbert Wayne (Janell) Kraft of Decatur, Jack (LaVonne) Kraft of Springfield, Merle (Kathleen "Kak") Kraft of Decatur, and sister Virginia Kraft of Decatur. Everett was preceded in death by his parents, son Raymond Kraft, brother Raymond Dale Kraft, and grandson Shawn Keller.
