Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the church with 7 p.m. Masonic rites and one hour before services in the church. Burial: Evans Cemetery, Vandalia. Arrangement by: Hohlt & File Funeral Home, Vandalia. Memorials: Parkview Free Methodist Church, Crawford-Hale American Legion Post 95, Foundation for the Veterans Wall or Evans Cemetery Trust. World War II Army veteran. Member: Parkview Free Methodist Church and Crawford-Hale American Legion Post 95, Vandalia. Survivors: sons, Max Quayle, Merrimack, N.H.; Scott Kringer, Vandalia; daughters, Carol Neil, Pampa, Texas; Suzie Engle, Decatur; Melissa Depew, Vandalia; Delinda Ferrell, Greenville; 15 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren.
