TUSCOLA - Jack Williams, 76, of Tuscola, IL, died at 4:20 AM, Sunday, November 13, 2005 at his residence. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Thursday, November 17, 2005 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL, with the Rev. Bruce Baumberger officiating. Visitation will be held from 3-7 PM, Wednesday, November 16, 2005 at the funeral home. Graveside Services will be held at 2:30 PM, Friday, November 18, 2005 at the Woodlawn Cemetery, Indianola, IL, with military graveside rites accorded. Mr. Williams was born on September 30, 1929 in Indianola, IL, the son of Claude and Hallie Goodwin Williams. He married Mary Joan Knight on June 14, 1952 in Las Vegas, NV. She survives. Other survivors include: 1 Son: Don Williams and wife: Fran of Sherman, IL, 1 Daughter: Mary Ann Brewer and husband; Terry of Tuscola, IL, 5 Grandchildren: Laurel Williams, Caroline Williams, Keith Williams, Rachael Brewer, Courtney Brewer, 2 Brothers: Wade Williams of Indianola, IL, Glen Williams of North Fort Myers, FL. He taught in Arthur Schools and was principal of Cissna Park and Tuscola Schools. He was superintendent of the Tuscola Community School District #301 from September 27, 1967 until July 1988. He was a life member of the National Education Association, He was a member of the Douglas County Retired Teachers Association and the Illinois Retired Teachers. He was a US Army Veteran having served in the 325th Tank Division during the Korean War. He was an avid Chicago Cubs fan, Chicago Bears fan and Illini Fan.
