DECATUR - Janet Pinnell, 79, of Decatur, IL went home to be with the Lord at 8:50 P.M. Sunday, June 17, 2007 at Decatur Memorial Hospital in Decatur, IL. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 20, 2007 at Glad Tidings Assembly of God, 655 Airport Road in Decatur, IL. Pastor Matt Samuels will officiate. Burial will be in Point Pleasant Cemetery in Long Creek, IL. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at the church. The Edwards Funeral Home of Arcola, IL is assisting the family with the arrangements. Janet was born December 22, 1927 in Westfield, IL. She was a daughter of Marvin M. and Heathy (Kuhn) Updegraff. She married Morris "Barney" Pinnell in Kansas IL. He passed away in August of 1978. Survivors include one daughter, Colleen Pinnell of Decatur, IL; one son, Greg Pinnell and his wife, Barb, of Rantoul, IL; three grandchildren, Amy Novak of Dalton City, IL, Shane Pinnell of Greenville, IL and Christine Pinnell of Lincoln, IL; one step-grandson, Ray Pinnell of Rantoul, IL; three great-grandchildren, Coty Pinnell, Eileen Novak and Martin Novak and two brothers, Marvin L. Updegraff and his wife, Dorothy, of Paris, IL and Larry L. Updegraff and his wife, Linda, of Brocton, IL. Her parents and her husband preceded her in death. Janet was a member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God where she sang in the choir. She was employed at Field and Shorb Plumbing Supply Company of Decatur, IL for over thirty years.
