DECATUR - Jeannette R Marshall,83, daughter of Elsie Reis and Robert H. Marshall died at 11:15 P.M. Sunday, June 13, 2010 at Heartland Nursing Home Decatur, IL. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. with a Memorial Service at 7:00 P.M. at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL Thursday June 17, 2010. Private interment will be at Hall Cemetery Blue Mound, IL. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home are handling the arrangements. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be sent to Carol Jo Vecchie Women's Services St John's Hospital, Springfield, IL or to Blue Mound Fire Department. Jeannette was born Aug 24, 1926, the eldest of five siblings. She graduated Blue Mound High School in 1944 and attended Western Union training in Rockford, upon completion working for the office in Decatur. She returned to the farm west of Blue Mound and worked with her grandfather, L.W. Reis, in his appliance store until his retirement. She then spent several years working at the Blue Mound Post Office, ultimately going to work for the State Bank of Blue Mound where she was currently employed until her illness this spring. She had been at the bank more than 50 years. Survivors include her brother Bob, Denver, CO; her brother-in-law, Albert Kuhn, Columbus OH; nephews Bill Kuhn, Cambridge MS; Fritz Kuhn, Richmond VA; Joel Parks (Teresa), Covina CA; Stuart Parks (Kris), Creve Coeur IL; nieces, Leslie Sollman, Blue Mound; Dr. Tyler Prall (Dr. Ryan), Redlands CA; and Britt Marshall (Troy Kent), Portland OR; great nieces Santa Augustiniak (Wyatt), Indianapolis IN; Emily Parks, Covina CA; McKenna and Kyler Parks, Creve Coeur, IL; Courtney Sollman, Blue Mound; Addelyn Prall, Redlands, CA; a great nephew, Johnny Parks, Covina, CA and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Roberta Kuhn, Rita Brown and Linda Parks Polen, and her nephew Kevin Brown. Condolences may be left to the family at www.brintlinger andearl.com.
