Mary Jane Pritchard

DECATUR - Mary Jane Pritchard, 96, of Decatur, IL passed away on Monday (Oct. 6, 2008) in Lincoln Manor. Funeral services will be 10:00 Thursday (Oct. 9, 2008) in Dawson & Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral Home with visitation Wednesday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery. Miss Pritchard was born on January 17, 1912 in West Frankfort, IL, the daughter of John S. and Eliza Isaac Pritchard. She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church and the Rebekah Lodge #767. She worked at West Frankfort Main St. Bakery for sixteen years. She retired in 1975 as a nurse at Wheaton Convalescent Home. Surviving are her nieces: Mary Ann (Paul) Nartker of Decatur, IL, Ella Marie Hall of Greenview, IL and Connie Pritchard of Boody, IL; nephews: Bill Pritchard of Arkansas, Jim Pritchard of Boody, IL and John Pritchard of Pennsylvania; eighteen great nieces and nephews; twenty-five great-great nieces and nephews which she loved very much; close friends: Peggy Desabro of Decatur, IL and Erma True of Decatur, IL. Miss Pritchard was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Herman and William Pritchard and nephew: Jerry Pritchard. Obituary written by family members.
