Michael McCleery Obituary
August 11, 1968 - June 7, 2025
Michael Reed McCleery Sr., 56, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2025, at Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Mike was born in Decatur, Illinois, on August 11, 1968, to James David McCleery and Judith Pearl McCleery. He is survived by his older siblings, Mark McCleery (Jennifer Kramer) of Decatur, Illinois, and Michelle Wright (Tim) of Oakley, Illinois; his sons, Michael Reed McCleery Jr. and Derek James McCleery; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Judith McCleery.
A memorial service will be held at the Cerro Gordo Church of the Brethren at 102 East Durfee Street, Cerro Gordo, Illinois on August 9th at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family may be mailed to his son, Derek McCleery at 539 Miami Avenue Milford, Ohio, 45150.
