Decatur - Michael Conway Prince, 97, of Decatur, Illinois passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2025.
He was born on August 5, 1928, in Taylorville, Illinois, to William E. and Mary Ellen Conway.
He served in the Korean Conflict, where he was a Corporal in Company B of the 245th Tank Battalion.
He married Angeline Grosso on October 25, 1952, in Decatur, Illinois.
He joined Caterpillar Tractor Company in 1956 where he worked for 30 years in materials distribution and inventory control.
Mike is survived by his daughter, Michele (Joseph) O'Connor; grandsons, Patrick, Daniel, and Brendan O'Connor; his brother-in-law, Pete (Jane) Grosso; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his spouse, Angeline; parents, and siblings, Norman Richard, William Dane, Sina Marie, Daisy, Mary, and Patrick.
Visitation will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Moran & Goebel Funeral Home, with a Funeral Liturgy to follow at 11 a.m. Interment will be at Boiling Springs Cemetery in Decatur.
