DECATUR – Misty Y. Cole, 43, of Decatur, passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at Springfield Memorial Hospital. Misty was born on October 30, 1980, in Marietta, Georgia, a daughter of Bernie Young and Nancy Peppers. She worked at Mueller Company as a foundry utility operator and loved attending Bike Nights. Misty was a very hard worker and achieved anything she set her mind to. She was very intelligent and became a medical assistant for some time. She enjoyed shopping and spending time with family and friends. She was very spontaneous and never embarrassed of having a good time. Misty did not know a stranger and had a very strong sense of humor. Time spent with Misty was time well spent. She will be missed dearly and memories will be cherished from all who knew her. Rest in Peace Misty we love you.

Misty is survived by her children: Megan Williams and Ashley Young of Decatur; granddaughter, Journee; mother and stepfather, Nancy (Sam) Bang of Decatur; brother, Sam Young of Georgia; nephews: Cody, Brett, Brian, and Cayson; and many friends. Misty was preceded in death by her father, Bernie Young and brother, Brian Young.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 10, 2024, from 2:00 PM until the service time of 4:00 PM, at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
