MONTICELLO - Ruth A. Hislope, 79, of Monticello, passed away at 12:20 a.m., Friday, April 5, 2024, at her residence.
Ruth was born April 9, 1944 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Albert and Cynthia Alice (Ryder) Hill. She married Ezra Hislope on August 31, 1963, in Monticello, IL. He passed away on December 6, 2007.
Ruth is survived by her son, Ricky Hislope (Gayla) of Monticello; grandchildren: Danika Hislope Frye (TJ), Richard Hislope (Jessica), Allie Hislope Braden (Rydick); great-grandchildren: Maci Frye, Tanner Frye, Trent Frye, Hank Hislope, Gemma Braden; and brother, Tom Hill. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brothers: Dave Hill, Al Hill, Jr., and Ronnie Hill.
Ruth was a retired Production Supervisor. Ruth was an avid BINGO player and enjoyed playing the gambling machines.
No services will be held per Ruth's wishes.
In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
