William S. "Bill" Parker

March 2, 1945 - December 24, 2025

William S. "Bill" Parker, 80, of Decatur, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2025 at his home.

Graveside service will be 11:00 AM, Monday January 5, 2026 at Macon County Memorial Park, Harristown, with military honors by the US Navy and Macon County Honor Guard.

Bill was born March 2, 1945 in Decatur the son of Smith "Smitty" and Dorothy (McGinnis) Parker. He proudly served our country in the US Navy. After serving our country, he worked for 30 years for Norfolk and Southern Railroad, retiring as an engineer. Bill enjoyed travel, woodworking and working on his home. He was a member of American Legion Castle Williams Post 105 in Decatur.

Surviving are his nieces: Rhonda Ogden of Oakland, IL, Kim Hicks of Decatur, and Sheila Pyles of Oceanside, CA; and great nieces and nephews: Matt, Will and Amanda.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Judy Pyles.
