AUGUSTA SAMACH

SAMACH, AUGUSTA, 94, passed away on January 22. A proud mother, grandmother and aunt, she loved travel, opera, ballet, and classical music but she especially loved listening to her grandchildren sing and play music. Her delicious baked creations were so well regarded that she regularly took "orders" from her friends and family. She was a beloved hostess at the Sterling Hotel restaurant for over 30 years. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Milton Samach, and survived by her children Karen (Kenneth) Moretti and Michael (Judy) Samach; grandchildren Danielle (Jonathan), Laura (Derek), Alyson, and Matthew; great-granddaughter Isabel; and dear friend Martha (Ann) Walter. Her recent years were made independent and joyous due to the loving care of Carmen Rivera. The love she shared and ideals she embodied shall live on in the hearts of the many she touched over the years. Graveside service at 1PM Monday at Lakeside Memorial Park.
