Carol L. Sharp

1933 - 2016

Carol Louise Sharp age 83 of Santa Fe, New Mexico passed away December 22, 2016. She was born April 6, 1933 in Elyria, Loraine, Ohio to Winifred Faulhber Wernert and Edward Jaeger Wernert. She married Richard John Sharp, August 14, 1954 in Indiana. Carol is preceded in death by her husband Richard John Sharp, daughter Mary Sharp, parents Edward and Winifred Wernert and brother James Edward Wernert. She is survived by her son Richard Louis Sharp (Susan Miller Sharp), daughters; Julita Sharp Howard (James Alton Howard, Jr.), Michelle Sharp Barron (David Anthony Barron) and grandchildren Adam S. Howard (Lamai), Andrew J. Howard (Courtney), Nicole J. Snyder (David), Ryan J. Alexander, Craig J. Alexander, John D. Barron, Haille M. Barron, Sara A. Sharp, Brenna L Sharp, and Rachel M. Sharp and great-grandchildren, Makensie A. Howard and Hailey E. Snyder. Carol was a fervent member of the Catholic Faith and, with her husband Richard, dedicated many hours to Saint Maurice Catholic Church in Hollywood, Florida and quickly rose to be one of the top production Trust Officers at the bank. During this time she became involved with the Marti Huizenga chapter of the Boys and Girls Club as a founding member of the Board working tirelessly to engage celebrities to attend the annual Hollywood Welcomes the Stars event. Carol and her family would like to express our deepest gratitude for the wonderful loving care she received from the nursing staff at The Montecito and Ambercare. All of Carol's family and friends can take comfort in knowing that she has once again joined with her husband, the love of her life, and had looked forward to this day since his passing. A Memorial service will be held January 6, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Rivera Memorial Chapel, 417 East Rodeo Rd., Santa Fe, NM 87505 In lieu of flowers Carol has requested that donations be made in her name to Marti Huizenga Boys & Girls Club at Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County, 877 NW 61st Street, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309.
