Mr. Hawley is my father-in-law and I thank him for the wonderful gift of his daughter, Mary. He was a great and generous man and the short time I did have with him, we spent talking about many things including our military service. Although I am Brittish and served in the Royal Artillery, we still had a great many things to discuss. I used to tell him although America and the UK are allies, our relations would be even better if you hadn't thrown our tea in the Boston Harbor!
Mr. Hawley was a great man indeed and although I never got to meet her, I know his wife, Martha was also, as evidenced by the legacy of wonderful kids they left behind.
He will be missed by many including me and I know I will see him again, but I want to say one thing, next to my own father (who was a lifer in the Royal Army Ordinance Corps), he is the only true hero I have known.

Mr. Hawley is a friend of my family. I grew up with his younger daughters and knew him well. I spent many hours at their house. He was a very special man and will be missed alot. My sympathy goes out to his family.

I had the utmost respect for my grandfather, who I wish I had been able to be around more. He made me nervous when I was very young, but I learned that making fun of him went a lot farther than flinching. We'll meet again.

My father was was my hero and I called him every day. He was gruff but not inside...once a cop always a cop maybe that is why. He was there for all of us. CK Hawley II, Kathryn A. Atkinson, Robert K. Hawley, Mary E. Howard, Martha L. Thomas, Chad F. Hawley we all loved him and I personally feel blessed from every summer we had vacations all over the U.S. and saw just about all the landmark and educational spots...how many can say they did that? He was loved by many and will be missed dearly by me but I know he is at peace now and with my mother and God.

My Dad was many things to me ~ mentor, friend, father and protector. He made me laugh and always was there for me when I needed him. My father was generous to many people - no one can know the blessings he bestowed to those who crossed his path. I will miss him for the rest of my life. He is with my mother and the Lord now and I look forward to seing him again.

Dad had a gruff exterior and a soft inside. He left a mark on my heart and my life and I will take the best he had to offer to make my life and the lives of my children richer. Thank you Lord for giving me such a great father.

While I did not know Clif personally we talked over the phone numerous times about his part in the Fort Worth Police Department. On behalf of the Fort Worth Police Dept we pray for the family's guidance during this time and send them our heart felt condolence.

I know Clif was loved by many people and touched their hearts and lives.
Memories of my brother come to the surface and bring smiles and tears. Life often takes us in different directions, but we can thank our God for times shared, memories to make us smile and hearts full of forgiveness and love.
My condolences to his loved ones and friends who also will be smiling with memories and stories and the belief that Clif is at Peace and with his God

I will miss Clif dearly. He was a great man and treated me as one of his own. He always called me his West Virginia Hillbilly and I will miss being called that. I am happy that he is better now and looking down from above. He will forever be in my heart!!

Clif was always there for me, with some mature advice and a willing ear. We were friends for 49 years. My husband and I were treated to his "bed and breakfasts" while we vacationed for a number of times. Each time we visited Miami, we met for breakfast at the Chuck Wagon. He will always be remembered. He made footprints on my heart
