WILSON JR., DONALD (DON) DOUGLAS May 13, 1956- February 16, 2019 Don Wilson, 62, of Miami, Florida, died unexpectedly Saturday, February 16, 2019, after a brief illness. He lived in his beloved South Miami, Florida his whole life. Don is survived by his two children, Meghan Wilson and Danny Wilson; his sister and brother-in-law, Melanie Vaughn and Gary Nyman; his two step-children, Anthony Ouertani, and Samantha Ouertani; his grand-daughter, Emma Rose Wilson; his cousin, David Wilson; his nephew, Christopher Vaughn and his best friend, Squibby. Don loved numbers and guns. He grew a successful accounting firm in South Florida starting in 1980. He was an avid shooter and competed in regional and national tournaments. His interests were diverse, including archery, tropical plants, genealogy, art collecting and travel. Recently, he began fostering boxer dogs. He loved mangos! Visitation will be held at the Stanfill Funeral Home, 10545 S. Dixie Highway, Miami, FL 33156, from 5-8 p.m., Friday, February 22, 2019. Burial will be 11:00am Saturday, February 23, 2019, Woodlawn Park North Cemetery, 3260 S.W. 8 St., Miami, FL 33135. Donations in Don's memory may be made to the charity of your choice or to the American Diabetes Association.

I miss you already. My heart aches. You never forget your first true love. We spoke in January but I guess we waited to Long.God had other plans for us. I remember one day after the many Fourth of July parties my family hosted picking up pieces of fireworks on his tennis court next door to our property when he came out and told me to leave them and just keep having great parties! My sincere condolences to Don's family and friends. His sudden passing shocked and saddened me also. He was my personal CPA for 25 years and I valued his counsel and friendship. My heart aches for his entire family, and I pray they will find comfort in knowing he was so very respected and appreciated by such a large group of friends and clients in addition to all his family members. Don and I shared CPA office space many years ago when we were both just starting out. In later years I hired him to do my peer reviews. He was tough on me as he should be. He was an honest guy who did his job the right way. I liked him very much and after I retired from the business I referred a number of my clients to him. I am deeply saddened to hear of his passing.
