Sending cyber hugs to Elisabeth and her beloved friends and family. Guy G. was the one who told me back then. Am still in shock, actually. Was thinking of you again today when I bought a stack of t-shirts. I'll be chopping them up into tank tops the way you taught me to do with our Seaquarium uniform shirts while we worked together at Top Deck, lol. Sam, one of the kittens you rescued from that building crew (that tarred them), lived to be about 16 years old. He was an ongoing reminder of what it was like to work in Unity with a kind, free-spirited Soul. #RIP, you are missed. <3 Hey, PS, can't believe I almost forgot about your purple room. Am still laughing so hard that it's bringing tears of Joy. You go, Girl!

I knew Elizabeth since she was a child of 8 until I left Miami when she was 22 years old. She made an indelible impression from the first time I met her at a dinner at her parents' house. Even as a child she was sweet, kind and instantly lovable. Her mother, my friend Ann-Sofi, informed me of her much too early death today. The very many years since I saw Elizabeth have not erased the memories of her sweetness. She was a very special young woman and I am very deeply saddened to hear of her passing. The world has lost a warm and caring human being. Rest In Peace dear girl.

I am her brother and I am dealing with Elisabeth being gone but I want to say that my family feels so supported by the thoughts, words, and actions of all those who knew my uniquely loving and uniquely lovable, sister. She was like a once-in-a lifetime comet. I challenge all of you to be more like Elisabeth!

I was shocked and saddened to read about the passing of Elisabeth Truby. I had the pleasure of meeting her back in 1979 when I got hired as a Show Announcer at the Miami Seaquariam on Key Biscayne. We became friends almost immediately and spent a lot of time together on the job in between shows. She had a great sense of humor as she once put a fish in my lunch bag which I had put in the refrigerator so it would not spoil, in the original Flipper House which was used in the Flipper TV show back in the 1960s. After work sometimes we'd go out for a beer. Took her out on a date one time and we went to see a movie called The Electric Horseman with Willie Nelson. The movie was a flop but just being with Elisabeth made up for that. We both loved the movie Yellow Submarine with The Beatles and often talked about how cute it was. Elisabeth was an extremely beautiful girl with her long blond hair, pretty face and a body to die for. I worked at The Seaquariam for only a few months and lost touch with her after I left in 1980. I was however able to locate her phone number and called her sometime back in the mid or late 90s. She told me that she became a very strong person and joined the Coral Gables Fire Department. I have Super-8 film footage taken of one of the Flipper Shows which I was announcing and Elisabeth can be seen interacting with the Dolpins. I also have an audio cassette of myself announcing one of the Flipper Shows and you can hear me introducing Elisabeth as one of the trainers. It's always a tragedy when someone so special leaves us at such a young age as Elisabeth did. Way to soon for sure. My condolences to her family. Whenever I pass by or go to The Miami Seaquariam from now on I will always think of Elisabeth Truby.

My heart fills with sadness to hear of the passing of Elisabeth. Not only was she the most sweetest, caring, loving soul I have ever met and loved, she was also my god mother. Her and my god father Wayne S. gave me so many chairishable memories to hold on to forever. I will never forgot riding horses on the trails together, spending time swimming at her mothers swim school, eating mint chocolate chip ice cream together while watching tv, and jumping in the pool after hanging out in the barn for the day. I'm so thankful to have known her and to have been a part of her life. We may have lost contact through the years but she will always have a special place in my heart. My deepest condolences to her family and friends, we all are so fortunate to have had this beautiful woman in our lives.

I learned of a great loss this afternoon. Someone who was My Friend for 52 Years. I met Elizabeth in first grade at Ludlam Elementary in first grade. We parted ways when I was sent to a stricter school , that was after fourth grade. We ran into each other every couple years & I had an unspoken bond in My heart for Her. She saved lives , fought fires & was always happy when I would run into Her. Sometimes at this crazy restaurant in South Miami.
I called it a loss but it is Heavens Gain! Elizabeth, I could never forget You. My love & Prayers go to the Truby Family. I had swimming lessons there when I was 4 & 5 . I have been very close to The Truby Family for decades. I mourn with You. Bill Archer.
