Gail Spiegelman Obituary
November 11, 1937 - June 2, 2025
Village of Pinecrest, Florida - Gail Spiegelman, a native of Miami and beloved matriarch, passed away Monday, June 2nd, 2025 peacefully, surrounded by her loving family. Born on November 11, 1937, to Babette and Leo Ackerman, Gail was a proud graduate of Miami High and the University of Miami.
On June 6, 1959, she married the love of her life, Max Spiegelman. Together they built a beautiful life raising three sons. Gail's home was famously warm and welcoming, a constant hub for afterschool snacks, dinners, and the many neighborhood kids who knew her as a second mom.
Gail embodied grace and generosity. The ultimate "lady," she lit up every room with her sparkling blue eyes and radiant smile. If you were fortunate enough to be her friend, she treated you like family. She had a zest for life. She was bright and active enjoying tennis and golf in her younger years, and later bridge, canasta, and mahjong all with her cherished friends.
Her greatest joy came from her family which was her life's dream to have and hold. Gail was overjoyed to finally have daughters, her three sons' devoted wives, each of whom she whole-heartedly embraced as her own. "Grandma Gail" cherished each of her 11 grandchildren, celebrating their unique personalities and accomplishments with equal pride and boundless love. Recently, she found joy in spending time with her first great-grandchild, Ari Max, a new light in her life.
Gail Spiegelman is survived by her children, Gary and Heather, Larry and Tracey, Marc and Danielle; grandchildren, Brittany, Justin (Mai), Ariel, Jolie (Mike), Lindsay, AJ, Logan, Austin, Hunter, Sami, Ethan and great-grandson Ari Max. Gail leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and strong family values.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at 12:00 p.m., at Riverside Gordon Memorial Chapel at Mt. Nebo/Kendall 5900 SW 77 Avenue, 33143. There will be a private burial following services.

I grew up next door to Gail's grandfather, Harry Ackerman and have know Gail most of my life. I always enjoyed seeing her at Miami High reunions. I always admired her and an sorry to hear of her passing.
