I did not personally know Judge Featherstone, but I was a student of Vivian's @ MSSH ('77). I knew of Judge Featherstone not through his daughter, Vivian, but through my years of working in the legal field as a Legal Secretary. I heard nothing but good things about Judge Featherstone and my deepest sympathies go to his family.

My what a judge he was. He granted my divorce inspite of a tearful plea from someone who was abusive. Judge Featherstone was not only fair, he had insight, compassion and a heart to know. I thank G-d, bless be His name, for having encountered Judge Featherstone.

Dear Mrs. Featherstone:
As a young attorney, many years ago, I spent 2 days a week in the probate court, frequently in front of Judge Featherstone. He was always willing to spend time explaining his rulings, telling interesting stories and discussing unusual points of law. In many ways, he acted as a mentor and teacher and I missed our meetings when he left the bench. Please accept my condolences on your loss.
