John H. Baugher

1928 - 2017

BAUGHER John H. Baugher, 88, died at his home on January 2, 2017. He was born June 19th, 1928 and was the husband of Nadine J. Baugher to whom he was married for 65 years. He was the manager of Adams County Nursery and continued to be active in his family business until his death. He served as President of the Pa Cherry Growers Assoc. and Adams County Fruit Growers Assoc. He was on the BOD at Knouse Foods Cooperative as well as The Mountain Orchard Cooperative. He was awarded Master Farmer in 1976 and served on the Penn State Extension Board, Christ Lutheran Church Council and Upper Adams School Board. In addition to his wife Nadine, he is survived by his children Julia (Steve) Haller, John (Joan) Baugher Jr., Phillip (Tara) Baugher, and Chris (Cynthia) Baugher, all from Aspers, PA, ten grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Services will be at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 126 W. Church St., Bendersville, PA on Monday, January 9 at 11:00 AM. Friends may visit at the church, Sunday, January 8 from 2:00 - 5:00 PM.
