Jose Dorta Obituary

DORTA CAPT. JOSE, passed away at home in Miami on September 2, 2002. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Ana Victoria Carreño; his four children, Dr. Jose Dorta, Dr. Ana Dorta-Baez, Maria Elena Becker and Lillian Dorta Parnell; his sons and daughters-in-law, Diana Villanueva Dorta, Dr. Edward Becker, Mr. Jose Baez, and Alan Parnell. He left behind 7 beloved grandchildren, Diana Victoria, Joseph, Bianca, Alan Jake, Austin Jose and Lauren Victoria. He is also survived by his sisters, Guillermina Garcia and Maria D. Padron. He was a true patriot, a decorated Vietnam Veteran Special Forces Capt. in the U.S. Army. After a long and courageous battle he also leaves behind many adoring family members and friends. Visitation will be held Tuesday, Sept. 3 from 6 p.m. - midnight at the Caballero- Rivero-Woodlawn Chapel in Westchester. Funeral Mass and burial on Wednesday.
