Joseph Witz Obituary
October 13, 1939 - September 10, 2024
Miami, Florida - Joseph Witz, 84, passed away September 10th after a brief illness. Raised in Lower Merion, PA he was a proud graduate of the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. While serving in the US Coast Guard Reserve and training as a stockbroker he settled in Miami where he met and married Ilene Friedman (of blessed memory). For over 40 years he successfully managed his company, Real Estate Consultants of FL, where his knowledge of industrial and commercial real estate was paramount. Joe was an active member of Rotary International where for years he enjoyed the weekly meetings and their philanthropic endeavors.
Joe is survived by his children, Avi (Jennifer Cristal) Witz, Joshua (Jennifer) Witz and Megan (Jay) Seigel. His long time partner Mary Alice Pilafian, his grandchildren who brought him so much joy and all of his family and friends that were fortunate enough to know and love him will miss his kindness and gentle spirit.
Memorial service will be Sunday, September 22, at 2 p.m. at Beth Or 11715 SW 87th Ave. Miami,FL.

I used to run into Joe at Penn events. I guess we were among the oldest people there. He was a genuine person- when he showed interest you knew it was real. In this he particularly stood out in Miami. I am sorry I did not meet him sooner.
