Bud was one of the first people I spoke with when I moved to the Green Hills neighborhood we shared in the 80's. He had been one of of the original buyers when the area was carved out of palmetto scrub and Dade pine in the mid 60's. By the time we arrived, he had retired from the Air Force, and my wife and I joined him on a few occasions as guests at the Homestead Air Force base Officer's club. He was a great neighbor, and we stayed in touch for some years after his first wife died and he sold their home. That was almost 20 years ago, and as time passed we did lose touch, but never the memories. It saddened Mary Ann and me to read of his passing, but we're glad he part of our lives for an all-too-brief time. Our condolences to Tom.
