Lourdes Castroverde Obituary

CASTROVERDE, LOURDES Born in Havana Cuba Lourdes came to the US in 1955 where she was proud to become a US Citizen. She worked for Delta Airlines in many different capacities and was in the Delta Swim Team and the USA Master Swimmers where she achieved more than 50 trophies and 34 medals. Her passion for life was swimming and music. She sang with many famous musicians including Carlos Oliva and Ray Barretto. She is now in Heaven swimming, singing, playing her guitar, piano and bongo drums with God and putting a smile on God's face. Surviving her is daughter Berdie Archer, son Armando Castroverde, Rick Donoghue, Sasha, Michele, and Amanda Castroverde, her grandchildren, Payton and Morgan Donoghue her Great Grandchilden, and son-in-law Ed Archer. Service will be at St Hughes Catholic Church in Coconut Grove on Thursday Aug 14 at 11:30 in the chapel. 305-444 8363
